The nominees for the UEFA best player in Europe award were announced today!
Let's be real, there is one player on that list that stands above all else, and his name is Lionel Messi!
Messi had an outstanding year, breaking various records throughout.
Does he deserve to win this award again? HELL YES!!!
In his 2011-12 season he accomplished together with his team, FC Barcelona, wins in the Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Copa Del Rey, & Fifa Club World Cup.
He himself accomplished top goal scorer in La Liga, top goal scorer in the Champions League, and the European Golden Boot.
His elegance and grace on the field is one like no other, not to mention his cute butt!
Ronaldo, accomplished with his team, Real Madrid, a win in La Liga.
He himself accomplished.. well nothing! He was left crying on the field in the Euro Cup semi-final game when he was left to shoot 5th and didn't get a chance to do so!
Iniesta, I love you, you carried Spain to the Euro Cup Win and you are overall a well-rounded player.
Results will be announced August 30th- I have my driving test that day! eeekk
May the best player win! And may I please pass my driving test!

Rajai Davis Saves the Day!

That has got to be one of the most amazing catches I've seen in my lifetime.
The rogers center was left buzzing when Rajai Davis makes an amazing leap over a 10-foot wall to ensure we held onto our 10-7 win against the Yankees.
Davis had an equally amazing day at the plate, batting in 5 runs, tying his career high.
GO DAVIS! GO JAYS!
How to describe a win over the Yankees?
It's like finding the perfect pair of pumps, only to find out they have been selling off the shelves and may only have one pair left in the back... and it's your size!!! So perfect!
Nothing feels better =)
On another note, Team Canada finished with 18 medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

First Time Blogger
Feeling nervous, feeling anxious, are these the feelings of a first time blogger?
I've been talking about starting a blog for quite some time now, so here it is!

Being a huge football fan, I would firstly like to start off with expressing my excitement, ONLY 34 DAYS until the official start of the NFL. SO STOKED!!!!! My Sunday's will soon be fulfilled by the only purpose a Sunday is meant to serve, football. But until then baseball will do.
Eric Who? Eric Thames? Didn't he play for the Jays?
Yes. Yes he did. But we traded him because 'he didn't have enough power'.
How ironic that he homers against us to win last nights game.
Mr. Alex Anthopoulos, how many more trades are you thinking of making?
It just doesn't seem to be our year, our injuries list keeps getting longer. Let's get strong and healthy for next year boys! GO JAYS!
Olympics - meh?
Still can't seem to get over the fact that we found 24 billion dollars to stage the Olympics... in Europe?... during this so called 'greatest economic meltdown' in recorded history. Pay your debts and stop creating more.
With that said.. GO TEAM CANADA!
